Opening Ceremonies

 

Opening ceremonies will begin at 8:45 AM on Bradford Field (largest field)  at Northwest Park for ages 7 through 14  Please be ready to line up by 8:30.  Players will be with their NEW team by this time and will meet at the fence line  down the third base side.  Players will then  line up by age – starting with the 7 / 8’s and stay with their new team also.  Each team – when called – (Ex. All State Red 7 / 8’s)  will walk down the third base line, come to the area in front of the pitching mound – facing the grand stand – then each player’s name will be announced as well as the team they are from – (Ex. John Smith, Arkansas Cats)  At that time, the player should come forward and receive his trophy and wave to the crowd. .  Coaches will also be announced for the team and what team they are from  After each player from the team and the coaches have been called – the team will turn and walk down the first  base line,  to the outfield  and stand  along the edge of the dirt still facing the grand Stand.  Teams should stand side by side – starting at third base and lining up in the outfield ( along the edge of dirt) towards first base.  Each team will remain there until all teams members have been called

 

After all team members are called – the Star Spangle Banner will be sung / played,  There will then be a short welcoming speech and then teams will be dismissed to go with their new All State Coach .

 

Games will start shortly after opening ceremonies – some age groups will play at Phillips Park in Bentonville – travel time to there will be allowed before games start.
